The Recon Group is proud to be featured in a recent Trintech video highlighting Texas A&M University’s reconciliation automation journey with Cadency.
The video, titled “How Texas A&M Automated 1000+ Reconciliations,” features a conversation about the scale of Texas A&M’s reconciliation environment, the importance of moving high-volume work out of manual processes, and the value of getting more from Cadency after implementation.
For large organizations, reconciliation is rarely simple. Texas A&M discusses the volume of transactions flowing through its system and the challenge of managing that work manually. The conversation also references a time when roughly 1,000 reconciliations were being handled in Excel before being moved into Cadency.
That point is important because many finance teams face a similar issue. Excel is familiar and flexible, but as reconciliation volume grows, organizations often need stronger workflow, documentation, review, audit trail, and automation capabilities.
The video also highlights an important distinction: implementation is not the end of the journey.
During a software implementation, internal teams are often focused on getting the system live while still managing their regular finance responsibilities. Once the system is stable, organizations may benefit from stepping back and reviewing how the platform is being used, which features are being adopted, and where additional value may be available.
That is where The Recon Group helps.
As a Trintech partner, The Recon Group provides advisory and implementation services to help organizations evaluate, implement, and optimize reconciliation and financial close technology. In the video, Shannon Parker, Principal at The Recon Group, discusses the value of separating implementation from later optimization work so organizations can better understand how to get more from their Cadency environment.
The conversation also highlights practical benefits such as streamlining reconciliation processes, improving audit trails, and giving finance teams time back to focus on higher-value work.
The Recon Group is honored to be included in this Trintech customer story and appreciates the opportunity to support organizations as they continue improving their reconciliation and financial close processes.
