CNG Holdings Streamlines Reconciliation Processes with Trintech, Workday, and The Recon Group

Trintech recently published a case study highlighting how CNG Holdings improved its reconciliation process through automation, with support from Trintech, Workday, and The Recon Group.

The case study focuses on CNG Holdings’ move away from manual reconciliation processes and Excel-based workflows. According to Trintech, CNG Holdings was managing a high-volume reconciliation environment, averaging approximately one million transactions per month, while also handling complex three-way matching requirements.

For finance and accounting teams, that type of volume can create significant pressure. Manual processes are harder to scale, more difficult to audit, and more likely to require time-consuming research when exceptions occur. CNG Holdings needed a more reliable, automated approach that could support both efficiency and accuracy.

The results highlighted in the case study are significant. CNG Holdings reached a 97% auto-match rate for reconciliations, reduced manual intervention, and improved audit efficiency. Trintech also reports that the cash reconciliation team was reduced from 25–30 people to nine as automation improved the process.
